I hesitate to put a price here because I would never want someone to feel that they could not receive care because they couldn't afford it. So my preface is please ask. We can work out a payment plan, a barter system (doulas need automotive care and makeup, too) and I will work on a sliding scale based on income. There are enough stressors that come with a new baby. This should not be another one.
That being said: My daytime hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. When I set up a contract with you we will agree on a set number of hours. Additonal hours can be added on at the end. I prefer a minimum of 2 hours on a day that I work with you(this gives us enough time if you want a nap or if I need to run an errand for you) and an overall minimum of 10 hours. Daytime rate- $18/hr My nighttime hours are Monday-Friday 5pm-9am and included any weekend hours. I charge $23/hr. There is no minimum. My overnight rate is a flat $100. Often infants won't sleep through the night. I can come and care for them while you get some rest, bringing them to you for feedings only. At our initial phone call or email, we can discuss hours and set a time for an interview. The interview is free. If you decide to hire me, I ask for half of my payment on my first work day and the other half in the middle of my contract. |
